Carlos overcame two operations bravely
Carlos from Peru war born with a cleft lip and a cleft palate. The little boy overcame the two surgeries with Dr. Alberto Bardales very well.
Carlos was born on 16th November 2011. It was a big shock for his parents that their son did not look like a normal baby. Carlos´mother has been crying because of her son's fate during long nights.
Although the doctors at the hospital told the parents that the cleft can be closed with surgery, they were desperate. How should they ever be able to pay the money for an operation? Father Fausto, a poor farmer, has to make ends meet for his 9-member family with less than the equivalent of 120 Euros a month.

Fortunately, by a family in a neighboring village, who also has a child with cleft lip and palate, they cam to know that there is free help from our partner organization Qorito. As Carlos family heard this, they immediately brought their son to Dr. Alberto Bardales.
On 11th June 2012 Carlos cleft lip was closed.

Short time later in October 2012 Dr. Bardales also operated the palate of the boy.
